UNHUMAN Demo — Display Scaling & Quality of Life Update

UNHUMAN Demo — Display Scaling & Quality of Life Update

Proper support for 4K, ultrawide and small screens, plus a stack of quality of life features straight from your feedback.

DISPLAY & RESOLUTION

  • The Operations map now fits any aspect ratio. On 32:9 and other ultrawide setups every map marker is visible — no more cut-off deployment screen.
  • UI scale is now auto-suggested from your actual screen: bigger on 4K, smaller on compact laptop displays (1366x768 and similar), so the game fits out of the box. You can still fine-tune it in Settings (70-150%).
  • Trader inventory scrolls properly on narrow layouts instead of silently hiding columns.
  • Loadout screen reworked for short windows — corner buttons no longer get buried at 720p-class heights.
  • If anything still looks off on your setup, please report it on Discord. I really need scaling feedback right now — especially from high resolution monitors (4K, ultrawide, high DPI).

NEW: QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Filter Presets — save your raid filter setups into 3 slots and swap them with one click.
  • Stash Search — search box above the stash. Type "damage", a mod name, an affix, anything — matching items stay lit, the rest fade out. Works across stash, equipment and containers.
  • Quick Sell / Salvage hotkeys — hover an item and press S to sell or X to salvage. Confirmation dialog included, with a "don't ask again" option — and glitch+ tier items always ask, no matter what.
  • Skip Minigame Caches — new raid filter option: locked safes and terminals are skipped entirely instead of eating 10 seconds.
  • Keep Base Tier — new option under ADVANCED filters: after-raid selling and salvaging will never touch gear of the base tier you choose or better. Your T1-T3 bases stay safe for rerolling.
  • Free Kit — flat broke after a bad run? If you're under $5,000, a FREE KIT button appears in the loadout: basic T5 gear with random rolls, wounds treated, back into the fight. Once per raid.

RAIDS & FEEL

  • Raid maps now load instantly — the brief dark flash when entering a map is gone.
  • Skill tree panning is much smoother, especially at high resolutions.
  • Leaving to the main menu mid-raid now exits cleanly. No more ghost health bars or weird ESC behavior afterwards.

FIXES

  • Tutorial no longer breaks if you back out of Operations or close the game mid-step — it now rewinds safely instead of soft-locking.
  • Saving over an existing slot now saves immediately when you hit OVERWRITE — no extra confirm step to miss.
  • If a save ever fails to write, the game now tells you loudly instead of failing silently.
  • Installed augments now show clean artwork — the name text no longer overlaps the image.
  • Weight of Steel now spells out its formula: +1% Melee Damage per 5 Armor, capped at +15%.
  • Credits readout updates instantly after using Auto-Loadout.
  • Loot filters no longer skip items you need for an active quest — no more quest targets stranded on the ground.
  • Prototype gear is never skipped by loot filters either, whatever your value and type settings are.
  • Limited trader stock now restocks only on the trader's own timer — reopening the shop or leveling up no longer resets purchase limits.
  • Trader sell queue hardened: moving an item around after queueing it can no longer sell the wrong thing.
  • Enemies can no longer be killed twice by simultaneous hits, which could double up kill rewards.
  • Added a save repair pass for skill tree point counts on older saves.

STABILITY

  • Item drag & drop hardened: if anything goes wrong mid-drag, the action cancels safely instead of freezing the game.
  • Reworked a rendering rule suspected in rare crashes while dragging gear.
  • The game now keeps a small local error log. If you ever hit a crash or freeze, grab last_errors.log and send it to us on Discord — it helps enormously. Paste this into your File Explorer address bar to find it:

%LOCALAPPDATA%/unhuman/User Data/Default

Notes

  • Almost everything in this update came from your reports and suggestions. Thank you so much. Keep them coming, full release is around the corner.
