The Depth Pressure Update

The Abyss learned to fight back. Past CL 25,000 a second scaling wall rises, every enemy takes the opening shot, and three new chase items let you take the initiative back. Saves untouched; everything applies automatically.

THE ABYSS ADAPTS (CL 25,000+)

  • DEPTH PRESSURE: past CL 25,000, enemy HP and damage gain a second, quadratic scaling term. The deeper you push, the harder the wall pushes back. Loot scaling is untouched: depth is prestige, not the optimal farm.
  • THE ABYSS STRIKES FIRST: past 25,000 every enemy lands the opening hit of combat, capped at 80% of your max HP. It can never kill you from full health.
  • New stat: FIRST STRIKE CHANCE (cap 60%): your odds to deny that free hit and keep the initiative.
  • VOID FRAGMENT: new abyss fragment, dropping from CL 15,000 so you can prepare early. +7.5% base; merge it to +10 for the full 45%. Failed merges burn both stones. It is 2x2 and it is not sorry.
  • FIRST STRIKE TECH: new Underlord drop. Etch up to +10% into a weapon at the Merging Table. Failure costs the tech and the money, never the weapon. Only your highest weapon counts.
  • FIRST INSTINCT: new weapon-only mythic ability, rarer than legendary. +5%, does not stack.

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Skip Animations toggle for the Merging Table and augment upgrades, in Options and as a checkbox right on both panels.
  • Item locks everywhere: lock badges in rig/backpack/pockets, right-click Lock/Unlock in the loadout, padlock mode clicks on containers.
  • INSANITY: SELECT LAYER: jump back to any layer you have reached this cycle. Checkpoints can no longer regress, and BOSS SKIP now loops the block below a boss instead of sending you back up to your checkpoint.

FIXES

  • +N badges and tooltips on merged fragments and upgraded gear now update immediately.
  • Hardened against an overnight memory leak: visual effects could pile up forever while the window was covered or the monitor was off. A new safety net cleans them up.
